OmniSci Named a Finalist for the 2020 Glotel Telecoms Awards

OmniSci is proud to announce that we’ve been named a finalist for the 7th annual Glotel Telecoms Awards in the Telecoms Transformation category.  We’re particularly proud of this recognition as it showcases our work in the Telco space, an industry where data exploration and accelerated analytics have a real impact on network performance and customer satisfaction. The Telecoms Transformation category focuses on a commercial or technological initiative that improves communications service delivery. It’s the Glotel Telecoms Award’s way to recognize significant innovation in the space. To say the least, we’re thrilled to be a finalist.  

The OmniSci platform allows our dozens of telecom customers to interactively query billions of rows of data in milliseconds. In the hours or even days it takes for traditional data analytics solutions to process one complex query, OmniSci is able to answer hundreds of similar questions, and visualize the results for interactive exploration. The gains in time-to-understanding are exponentially - yet OmniSci is so versatile, it has SQL and Python interfaces for engineers and data scientists, and Immerse, a lightning fast, no-code dashboard tool for data analysts and decision makers.  

The benefits of OmniSci are substantial - even transformative - for telecoms. Our platform is used by major network providers, including Telus, Charter and Verizon, to improve network reliability and the customer experience. The intersection of spatial/temporal data helps analysts explore customer usage patterns and identify and address network disruptions, all-in-one platform. Anomalies are identified in just moments, versus old methods that would take 45 to 60 minutes, leading to faster problem resolution.
