Todd Mostak

Founder and CEO

Todd is the CEO and Co-founder of MapD Technologies. Todd built the original prototype of MapD after tiring of the inability of conventional tools to allow for interactive exploration of big datasets while conducting his Harvard graduate research on the role of Twitter in the Arab Spring. He then joined MIT as a research fellow focusing on GPU databases before turning the MapD project into a startup.

Grant Halloran

Executive Vice President & CMO

Grant brings to MapD more than 20 years of expertise in the software industry. Prior to joining MapD he was the CMO of Anaplan from 2015 to 2017. Prior, he was the CEO, President, and Co-founder of Orbis, acquired by Infor in 2012. Following the acquisition, he was the Global VP and GM of Integrated Marketing Management. Grant also spent more than 10 years as the Managing Director and Co-founder of Australian-based companies Brand Manager and ProductBank. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Australian National University.

Ché Wijesinghe

SVP of Global Field Operations

Ché is responsible for all sales, sales engineering and customer success teams globally. He was most recently President/COO at Neokami, a breakthrough Artificial Intelligence software company that was successfully acquired by Relayr. Previously, Ché led sales globally for Cisco Systems’ Data & Analytics Business Group, served as EVP of Worldwide Field Operations at Composite Software, and held senior management positions with BEA Systems, BroadVision and Deloitte Consulting. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from South Bank University, London.

Bill Maimone

VP of Engineering

Bill is responsible for leading the engineering team in architecting and delivering the the company’s suite of database, visualization and GIS solutions. Prior to MapD, Bill was the VP of Engineering at Anaplan and held similar roles with Salesforce and Actian. Bill began his career at Oracle, where he spent two decades, finishing as a Vice President with responsibility for over five hundred members of the R&D team across four continents. He holds a M.S. and a B.S. in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Alan Wong

VP of Finance

Alan is responsible for the company’s finance, accounting and administrative operations. He was most recently the VP of Finance and Administration at UnitedLayer, a hybrid hosting company with colocation facilities on the west coast. Alan has also held finance roles with Alta Devices, Leadis Technologies, Spansion, Advanced Micro Devices, and was a founder of PracticeFusion, the largest cloud-based electronic health records platform in the United States. He holds a master's degree in business administration and an undergraduate degree in accounting, both from San Francisco State University.

Ashish Bambroo

VP of Business Development

Ashish is responsible for all global partnerships, channels and resellers. Most recently, Ashish was Sr. Director at MuleSoft where he led embedded and OEM partnerships with MuleSoft’s largest partners. Prior to that, Ashish was at Intuit where he held senior management positions, most recently as Head of QuickBooks Hosting where he built a new growth engine for the company. He was also the co-founder of an ecommerce startup and after acquisition by Brodia, led business development for the payments company. Earlier in his career, Ashish helped a Samsung Subsidiary set up international operations, later becoming Country Manager for India. Ashish holds an MBA from UCLA, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from NIT, India.

Aaron Williams

VP of Global Community

Aaron is responsible for MapD’s developer, user and open source communities. He comes to MapD with more than two decades of previous success building ecosystems around some of software’s most familiar platforms. Most recently he ran the global community for Mesosphere, including leading the launch and growth of DC/OS as an open source project. Prior to that he led the Java Community Process at Sun Microsystems, and ecosystem programs at SAP. Aaron has also served as the founding CEO of two startups in the entertainment space. Aaron has an MS in Computer Science and BS in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.

Justin Sears

VP of Product Marketing

Justin leads product marketing at MapD, looking after competitive positioning, product messaging, customer stories and a wide array marketing content for sales enablement, field events, digital demand-generation, as well as public and analyst relations. Justin has led product marketing and product management programs at both small tech start-ups and mature public companies, including Symantec and Wells Fargo. He came to MapD from Hortonworks, where he created product marketing programs that positioned the company as the leader in open-source connected data platforms, and helped to grow Hortonworks from less than 10 subscribers when he joined, to an IPO and one thousand enterprise customers, including more than half of the US Fortune 100. Justin holds an MBA from UC Berkeley and a BA in International Relations from Stanford.

Ashish Sahu

VP of Product

Ashish is responsible for heading products at MapD. He was most recently VP of Product Marketing at Cask Data, a big data startup. Previously, Ashish was responsible for launching Analytics, Geospatial, & Advanced Analytics for SAP's in-memory platform, SAP HANA, and held a mix of technical and product roles at Checkpoint and Motorola. Ashish has an MBA from Haas School of Business, Berkeley, Masters in Information Systems from IIM, and BS in Mechanical Engineering from NIT India.

Monica McEwen

VP of US Federal

Monica leads MapD’s efforts to build a team and ecosystem of partners, positioning MapD as the premier force in large-scale analytics across the Federal market. Monica has 20 years of success in multiple disciplines within the Federal market, including software, business analytics and big data. Prior to joining MapD, Monica built the Federal practice for Qlik from the ground up and was largely responsible for Qlik’s YoY growth in this vertical. Before Qlik, Monica held a variety of sales and leadership positions at Cognos and then IBM.
